A Civil Society Organization, Progressive Alliance for Justice, Unity and Democracy, has threatened to institute legal action against activist Ibrahim G. Wala over alleged unsubstantiated claims against the administration of Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.

In a statement jointly signed by its Convener, Wale Adegoke and Secretary, Musa Abdullahi, the group accused the activist of making claims without evidence against the Governor.

The statement recalled that the activist was previously convicted by a court for failing to substantiate allegations made against the former Chairman of the National Hajj Commission.

The group alleged that the recent comments by the activist against Governor Zulum were an attempt to discredit the administration’s performance since 2019, describing the claims as baseless and unfounded.

It urged the public to disregard the allegations and called on the activist to desist from making statements capable of misleading the public.

The group further stated that it would take appropriate legal steps to ensure that the activist is made to substantiate his claims before a competent court of law.
