Abuja, Nigeria — The Africa Blue Economy Roundtable (ABER) has elevated Madam Stella Dogubo-Ovai, based in USA, to Director of Finance of its Continental Executive Council (CEC), effective immediately.

The elevation was approved by the Convener and Chief Executive Officer of ABER, Dr. Piriye Kiyaramo. It is a promotion from her previous position as Director of Treasury of the ABER Women’s Forum and recognizes her integrity, financial discipline and unwavering commitment to Africa’s Blue Economy agenda.

As Chief Financial Officer of the Roundtable, Madam Dogubo-Ovai will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure transparency, accountability and donor compliance, oversee budgeting and fund management across all organs of ABER, and supervise all finance and treasury officers across the continent and Diaspora.

She will serve in a voluntary continental capacity for an initial term of two years, renewable, reporting directly to the Convener/CEO and the Continental Executive Council, with remote operations from the United States and strategic travels for high-level engagements.
